Description

When entering a code with a dot in a answer option (Radio Button - (Type: L) ), the system recognises an error 500.
This error did not appear in previous versions.
When importing a survey, however, this option is not loaded, but the error is not reported either.

Steps to reproduce

Insert new question of type Radio Button (type L)
Enter an answer choice with a dot in the code (e.g. 0.5)

Expected result

The question should load the answer choice correctly.

Excuse me, but if I use the code of an answer to perform mathematical calculations, with this change it is now no longer possible. In previous versions we used to do calculations on codes (e.g. SQ01.code + SQ02.code). If it is not possible to enter the "dot" it will no longer be possible to perform such calculations on answers.

OK, but those are calculations are not set on the answer code, rather on someplace else. right?
Can you provide an example of what is no longer possible?

I will try to explain it briefly (unfortunately I am not very good at expressing myself in English).

1) I had set up the following encodings in 110 questions (Q1, Q2, Q3, ..., Q110):
"Code, Answer_Options".
"1,Yes"
"0.5, To some degree"
"0,No"

2) In an Equation type question (Type: *), I made a summary of the score that the respondent achieved, with the following formula:

TOTAL= sum(Q1.code,Q2.code,Q3.code,....Q110.code)

3) If I can no longer enter the value "0.5" in the answer code, the "Sum" function no longer calculates the correct value for me.

There are more issue accepting . in question cde than solution.

Here : sum(Q1.code,Q2.code,Q3.code,....Q110.code) / 10 can fix you issue.
(using 10, 5 and 0)

The version where I have inserted "." is:
LimeSurvey Community Edition
Version 5.2.14+220214.

But, when I exported the LSA file, and then imported it into version 5.3.8, everything worked perfectly.

With version 5.3.9, the anomaly I reported occurred.

There still an error when import : we must fix the code maybe and show a warning (like bad Question-title).
