|Summary||16286: Delay when editing the survey / Translation of 16283|
|Description||When I change a question in the survey and save, Limesurvey first shows the new page without the navigation field on the left and then again the same page with navigation. That is always a small delay, but adds up in a longer survey.|
Could that time be saved?

|Hmm, can you please send us a screenshot? The navigation section (structure tab) should always be displayed on the left side once the survey is created. Or is it another part of the software you refer to?|
|Sent two screenshots by mail|
|Hello @Track_132poi, could you please resend them to firstname.lastname@example.org? Will assign them to myself after receival|
|Sorry : delete because other was for 4.X|
I opened a survey, saved a change and for a split-second, I see what you see in the screenshot "without" picture, the next moment the navigation is back. That happens every time I save, and that has been the case for years.
Here are two screenshots that show the difference

Ok, that is very weird - cannot reproduce the issues. Can you enable debug mode and also check if you get any errors in the console?
I see however that you are using a very old php version. Please note that we recommend minimum php 7. Try to test with a more recent php version and let us know if the issues persist.: https://manual.limesurvey.org/Installation_-_LimeSurvey_CE#Make_sure_you_can_use_LimeSurvey_on_your_website
There are always a little dealy, menu is loaded after question edition. If you have a good connection, it's seems OK (but still unpleasant in my opinion).
Since 3.X is out … and before too
Updating width or height of element after load must be avoided if possible

More clear videao (all width)

I need to correct myself. I use PHP 7.2 for that subdomain.
DenisChedu in his two "Peek" shows what is happening after saving, although the outlay is different than mine.
"Updating width or height of element after load must be avoided if possible" Can I prevent that? Or is that a request to the developers?
