Summary | 07804: LS still won't allow SQL Server to use Windows Authentication
Description | I opened issue 07801 with this. For some reason, downloading the current stable release of LimeSurvey gave me a RC9 version (even though I did this yesterday). I have tried installation again with 2.05beta3 (build 130420) and 2.00+ (build 130423), and I still get the same issue with both. My Windows log gives me this error: There seems to be something within LimeSurvey that uses SQL Server authentication by default rather than allowing for using Windows authentication.

This issue can be closed. In later releases of LimeSurvey, I have been able to set up Windows authentication, though it takes some extra steps beyond the LimeSurvey installer. During the install process, I have to set my SQL Server to mixed-mode authentication (this is because the installer won't let both username and password be empty). Then after LimeSurvey has been installed, I go back to it and switch it back to Windows authentication, then go in and edit the config.php and set the username and password to empty strings. |
