In LS there are two option to allow participants to interrupt a survey:

(a) setting under "participant settings": here the option "Enable participant-based response persistence" is offered. When activated, it normally allows participants to close the survey at any point in the interview, and come back later, and continue the interview at the same point, the interview was interrupted. This works in open as well in closed access mode surveys.

However, this doen't work anymore. Instead I can see in closed access mode, that within the participation table the value for "uses left" is set to zero. When the participants clicks on the invitation link again, normally the interview can be continued at the same place, where the interview was interrupted. This nice feature no longer works. Neither in open mode nor in closed mode surveys, neither with or without allowing to set cockies.

(b) under "notification and data" there is a second option to allow participants to interrupt a survey. Here you can turn on the option "Participant may save and resume later". When the option is set, on each survey page on the top right corner there is an option shown to particpants, that allows to store the data, interrupt the survey, and come back later. However this features also doesn't work any more. When the user clicks on the option only a short note is shown in a popup message, that data has been stored. But there is no option to enter an email adress, like it was the case in former versions of LS. And it is also not possible to enter the survey again at a later point in time, as the parameter "uses left" is also set to zero, although the participant clicked to continue later.

So, all in all, there is no suvery interruption feature for participants any more, we can use.
