Summary20217: Multiple accessibility problems in Sea Green admin theme
Description

In a brand new installation of LimeSurvey 6.15.5, the administration interface has many accessibility problems when using the new Sea Green theme (only option in this version). Most of the screens show multiple problematic elements that don't pass the WCAG 2 standars. This will cause problems in adopting version 6 since WCAG 2 is the minimum standard requirement for web in our institution, and I imagine this being the case for many other places using LimeSurvey as their online surveys tool.

I used the WAVE browser extension to assess accessibility in a LimeSurvey 6.5.15 local installation. As an example, the surveys list page showed a total of 85 accessibility, 20 of them being low contrast errors. The low contrast issues are very evident, but there also other accessibility elements detected that cause issues with screen readers. I think it would be very important to work on the Sea Green accessibility issues, it being the default admin in LimeSurvey 6, to make it at least WCAG 2 compliant.

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install LimeSurvey 6.15.5. Sea Green will be the admin theme. Populate with a few surveys.
  2. Use WAVE browser extension to assess accessibility of surveys list.
  3. Multiple accessibility issues are detected, including low contrast errors. Several elements/styles don't pass WCAG AA requirements.

Expected result

Minimum or no accessibility issues in the administration interface when using Sea Green theme. At least WCAG AA compliance (WCAG AAA ideal).

Actual result

Multiple accessibility issues are detected, including low contrast errors. Several elements/styles don't pass WCAG AA standard requirements.
