Summary17626: Unable to open .sav file exportet in the .sav export format.
Description

I am using the new feature in v5.1 that allows to export data in the .sav format. But after exporting I can not open the .sav file. I get this error message (SPSS version 27):

Hi,

It looks like this error doesn't show up when using PSPP (or at least not the same error, and the file still opens).

Can you please test each of the 3 attachments here with SPSS and let me know how you go with opening each of them in SPSS 27 (I do not have access to this).

"orig" is a SAV file with a long string included exported same code that exists in LimeSurvey now
"psppfixed" is a SAV file with a long string included exported same code that exists in LimeSurvey now, but then opened in PSPP and saved again.
"withpatch" is a SAV file with a long string included and outputted after the following patch applied to the LimeSurvey code: https://github.com/tiamo/spss/pull/62/

Hi,

Thank you for sending the testfiles.

I can open all of these with SPSS v27.

There seems to be another reason, why some files are corrupt.

Can you please send one of the files that is causing the problem? Also ideally if you could send the "LSA" file (survey structure and data) then I can debug the issue further.

we have asked for feedback on this issue. Because we did not get an answer we assume that the issue is resolved.
However, should you be able to reproduce the issue using the latest version, please feel free to re-open the issue and give us exampl data as requested s on how to reproduce it.
