| Summary | 16165: uniform ajax vs. non-ajax settings : don't save permanent settings transparently | ||||
| Description | In the home page settings there are five boolean values that are saved by "<< Close" button and two other settings that are saved by "Save boxes setting". This makes no sense, one button should be enought. (And it could be "Save", not "Close".) | ||||

It's real a close button The issue seems more : checkbox save in ajax : not informed. No information it was saved. |
Yes, that's true. I would vote for never saving a permanent setting without save-button, but most important is to be consistent. Is there any other part in the system doing same kind of change? At least grepping for "AJAX toggle" founds no other files. |
At least another Save-button has been removed. Hence this could be closed, or at least changed to a ticket asking for a uniform ajax vs. non-ajax settings. |

Maybe a «don't save permanent settings transparently» is more better and must be moved to bug report ? |
Maybe, but is this a bug or feature? Maybe should be discussed somewhere. |
