Thanks @gibarra for the bug report.

I will mark the issue as confirmed. It would be nice to see the wrong question code being marked differently.

Suggestions: Instead of using a free text field switch to a dropdown listing all usable previous questions (e.g. no YES/NO or equation or short text or ... questions). Users can pick from the list and at the background we store the correct question code.

@ollehar, this wouldn't really be a new feature. It is more an UI adjustment. So instead of entering a question code at a text field you would be able to select from a pre-populated list. That prevents errors when typing, e.g. upper-/lower case issues can break the featrue easily. That would be fixed then.

2.6.7 have same issue,

We add a "don't break survey" if question didn't exist. We must disable it if preview is set to logicfile
