Summary13380: missing a close button?
Description

Global settings has a save button in the upper right corner of the screen. Any reason there is no Close or Cancel button here? Most screens do have both. See screenshot.

We have been thinking a lot about ergonomy.
The problem with the global setting is, that it may be opened from anywhere.
A 'close' button would only be logical if we'd had a secure way to go back to where one came from.
Since this is not the case, we opted not to add a close button there.

Yes, probably because the configuration menu is available from everywhere? Then the quiestion arise: Is the top menu with the config menu really necessary to have available? I don't see any point of this menu at all. All those menu elements could be put into the big dashboard menu. Who needs to fiddle around with those settings when the design a survey?

this is a good point. We will think about this for the next major version.
I'm a afraid a change like this is not to be done in the current version designated to got to LTS
