Summary11175: File count is not displaying values in survey responses summary view
Description

The file count column renders blank when displaying responses that contain uploaded files (in the summary view that displays multiple responses in columns).

However, when viewing a specific response the file count does still display.

Steps To Reproduce

At least in 2.06 build 160511 or in Version 2.50+ Build 160512, go to Display Responses for a survey that contains uploaded files, then scroll over to the File count column.

Additional Information

File count is also missing from file export or import, though that might possibly be due to the same issue. Following is how I ran into this:

  1. I exported an archive of a survey that contained uploaded files from Version 2.06lts Build 160511.
  2. I then imported this lsa file into Version 2.50+ Build 160512, and copied the files over separately.
  3. I then ran a json-rcp report that included file count. All was well in the report except for the file count, which was missing when run on data imported into Version 2.50+ Build 160512 (though was present when run on Version 2.06lts Build 160511 on the source prior to export).
  4. Viewing a specific imported response on Version 2.50+ Build 160512 also showed the file count as missing on that screen. However, uploading a new file directly on Version 2.50+ Build 160512 then did result in a file count appearing properly when viewing a specific response (but not in the summary).

Filecount does not yet show up in the summary in 2.50+ after applying the patch in 11144

  • I reviewed an existing record with files already uploaded.
  • And I created a new record with newly uploaded files and saved with "resume later".

In both cases the filecount does show up when viewing the response detail for just that one record. But they still don't yet display in the summary.

I figured out at least part of what is going on here. I had both Show Title and Show Comment set to Off on the file-upload question. When I turn them on, the filecount then does display. However, when I turn them both off (like I want in this case), the filecount no longer displays in the summary (as in the screenshots).

This is with respect to Version 2.50+ Build 160606. I have not yet tried this in 2.06+, though will be glad to do so later if that would be helpful.
