Seems totally related to : https://bugs.limesurvey.org/view.php?id=12113

You found the way to reproduce the issue when adding, but when you save : it must be 'autofixed' by the previous bug fix. Import the survey : 12113 happen : then no duplicate.

Thanks Denis, the description is very close that I have done. I thinks you're right it's a duplicate of 12113.

Yes or no : in 12113 : i start with a broken survey : here : you start with a non broken survey and find the way to 'adding duplicate'.

If you confirm

  1. ...
  2. ...
  3. See the error
  4. Save in DB (with error : surely)
  5. Reload sub quetsion editor : no error , error disappear ...

Here : you have the point 1 & 2 :), and 1 and 2 are not fixed currently ;)

Yes, I use a non-broken survey.
I never see an error message, I just see the result (duplicate sub-question).

Can't reproduce this bug.
It seems that it got fixed earlier.
If you can still reproduce this bug on LS version 3.8.*, I would reopen it.
