Description

I have noticed that occasionally there is a record or two with missing tokens in the response table. I know that people are not accessing the survey without entering a token because I can actually match the record in the response table with the proper token in the token table (by exporting both and sorting by the submission date & time). Clearly, LimeSurvey recognizes the token when the user enters it because it updates information for that token in the token table. However, when I view/export the results, that record has a missing token.

Steps To Reproduce

I am unable to reproduce. It only happens once every 100-300 records (very rough estimate...sometimes it never happens at all). So it would be cumbersome to try to reproduce. Our surveys are accessed all across the world and sometimes on computers that are well-protected (businesses with strict browsing capabilities, etc.); so it could also have something to do with the users' settings, behaviors, etc....

I recommend to update your Limesurvey system to the latest build.

Biggest problem is: If we can't reproduce this, we can't fix the issue.

Does the token information get lost at export only or is it lost during the survey session and thus not listed at the results at all?

It is lost during the survey session. The token does not appear in the results table within the application or the exported results file. The only way to determine the token is to export the results and the token table, then match based on date/time submitted.

Please update and keep digging for more details. This could be caused by lost session information or duplicate browser windows.

Maybe you can do a little more testing once you have updated your system and hopefully you can later provide detailed step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem. Because otherwise there is no way of fixing this.
