| Summary | 04470: [Feature Request] make it possible do propagate changes in labelsets to the used instances of these labels | ||||
| Description | The good thing about labelsets in my view in the old system was the fact that you just needed to change the labelset an it was changed everywhere. This is very practical if, you for example start working on your survey when the translation is still being processed. Or if one just wants to change a label set for a lot of question, which, let's face it, does happen more than you would initially think. I understand the change due to flexibility reasons, but will extremely miss the option to change labels for all questions with basically one action. If you wanted to change the labels of only one question you could easily copy the labelset an make the appropriate changes to this new set. And if you only need the labels once, why define a labelset. So to sume it up, I would really appreciate an option to propagate changes to the labels already set. Maybe an additional button in the label set context. This would probably require an additional column in the lime-answers-table, but appart from that shouldn't be to complicated and would really be a great feature. | ||||
| Additional Information | Concernes "Label sets are basically list templates where each list has a set of codes with labels and can be used in most question types either as answers or as subquestions. Contrary to earlier versions of LimeSurvey label sets are merely copied to the particular question as subquestion or answers. So if you change a label set after you 'used' it the changes are not propagated to the questions where a label set has been used as a template." from the documentation | ||||
