Page to define or import label sets is not reachable.

Steps To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce

clic on the main page on top in the menu entry "label sets" under "configuration" to get the list of label sets.
There is the button "new label sets or import" (see screenshot)
clicking on this button results in an error page (see screenshot) - it is not possible to define or import (new) label sets.

Expected result

get the page to define or import label sets.

Actual result

yout get an error page (see screenshot).

Hmm, can not reproduce this on my production instance or locally. Can you set debug level to 2 or give us some more information?

Cannot reproduce on 7.3.0 and limesurvey.org hosting serices.

This page is not produced by LimeSurvey here; I think you have another system that disabled the page (WAF etc ..).

Try to activate debug mode (debug = 2 in application/config/config.php) and check again. Else : see the server error log

Interesting - I don't know, what is wrong, because:

  • I've a completely new plain installed version of the downloaded CE version.
  • Building up and connecting during the first run of the installation is without any error.
  • I have a complete new database at my provider (Alfahosting.de) for the V7.x installation (V6.17.19 is running well (with its own database MySQL 5.7) concerning this issue)
  • The problem is independent from using imported surveys or open complete new plain surveys.
  • I also made this new installation now for more times and the last one I installed it complete plain (no additional themes, adminthemes etc. in the upload-folder and in system configuration)
  • I use the predefined standard theme and admintheme (fruity_twentythree and sea green)
  • emptied the frontend cache

Can you enable debug = 2 in application/config/config.php and try again, please? Paste the complete error message here.

Thanks for your support!! I think, I got it:

  1. debug level set => 2 - there is no (!) debug/error message or new report in Limesurvey screen or filesystem to attach here.
  2. Checked WAF (temporarely disabled => no change - WAF on or off.
  3. Checked PHP Version: I changed PHP form 8.4 back to 8.3 (!) - that is the solution. After changing back it is now running well also in LS7 - Installation.

Conclution: you are right - LS7 is concerning this point well running - problem is in my opinion the PHP-Version 8.4 [LS-Manual https://www.limesurvey.org/manual/manual/Installation_-_LimeSurvey_CE/de tells me: "PHP-Versionsanforderungen: LS 7.x von PHP 8.1.29 und höher (getestet bis PHP 8.4.x)".]
