Summary20541: LimeSurvey's 7.0.0 new editor gets stuck in loop on 'Create survey'
Description

Hello,

I was in the process of manual installation of Lime Survey 7.0.0 on Alma Linux 8.10 with PHP 8.1, Apache 2.4, MYSQL 8.0.

However, post successful installation on selecting new Editor and trying to create survey it gets stuck on 'checking permissions' and doesn't move ahead.

I have attached the video of the same.

Post successful installation log in to admin panel
Select the new editor
Try to create new survey

Hello tibor,

I don't use custom theme . I have installed Lime Survey with default installation process and this is a fresh install . Not an upgrade.

Hello @lajosarpad,

It seems that the following requests are failing with 401 :

http://example.com/lime700/rest/v1/user-detail/1
http://example.com/lime700/rest/v1/user-permissions
http://example.com/lime700/rest/v1/i18n/en

Checked in the response tab, there are no responses.

I have uploaded the same image in attachment.

Please check.

@riqcles the solution definitely not working for me. The "Checking permissions..." page still appears, and once there never disappears.

Seems that the only solution, for now, is to use the Classic Editor.

@riqcles @prashantt from your images i can see that you are using an alias/subdirectory for accessing LimeSurvey like "http://example.com/lime700" please verify that in your LimeSurvey config in "application/config/config.php" you adjust the 2 highlighted urls/paths to be in line with your aliases/subdirectories in that case they should be set to "/lime700" and "http://example.com/lime700"
