Summary16413: Frontend validation errors are not noticeable
Description

When creating or editing a question, after pressing save and having some front end validation failure errors are not noticeable. (Detected while working on 15596 and getting errors with the fixed_width attribute)

  • When fix_width field was displayed on screen,
    • No big red message appeared, but a warning message below the attribute.
    • The saving wheel kept spinning.
  • When fix_width field was not on screen (collapsed)
    • a Jquery error appeared on console (“field not focusable”)
Steps To Reproduce

Create a question
Make an attribute to fail its validation criteria with its section expanded and collpased.

I checked this with the latest version and could not reproduce, so this is most likely fixed for good.
