Summary14626: Clicking 'Resource' button from side menu results in crashed browser
Description

When in an inactive or active survey, clicking on the 'Resources' side menu will bring up a grayed out view of the resource page, but will hang, and cause the page to crash.

The link it hangs on appears to be the below

https://{LIMESURVEY SERVER}/index.php/admin/survey/sa/rendersidemenulink/subaction/resources/surveyid/{SURVEY ID HERE}

The page will display "Waiting for {LIMESURVEY SERVER DOMAIN NAME}" until the page crashes the browser.

Steps To Reproduce

Open survey, open side menu, click on 'Resources'

Hey @cairomckenzie. Thank you for your report. Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce it. Maybe someone else can replicate it.

Please make sure that the LimeSurvey installation conditions are met: https://manual.limesurvey.org/Installation_-_LimeSurvey_CE.

I checked on the requirements to ensure all requirements are met. This error was not present until I updated the instance of limesurvey to the latest version using comfortupdate. So unless the comfort update removed libraries, or didn't update required libraries, I doubt that the error has anything to do with the server config (unless the network administrator barred something).

It would appear that the error is related to any sort of file upload. I attempted to embed an HTML5 video directly in a question, and when I used the file upload dialog box, it spits back an error "CSRF upload error".

Uploading elsewhere, such as in the theme editor, causes no errors.

This error only produces when using google chrome Version 73.0.3683.86 (Official Build) (64-bit). Testing with firefox and internet explorer works fine.

Hmm, not sure if I can reproduce it. Tried with chromium and everything seems fine (local installation, latest git release). Have you tried to see if you get the same error on the FREE instance?

I will close this ticket since nobody was able to reproduce it.
