I think the manual is out of date. In fact : it's a great solution to have a timer for group by group mode. I remove the paragraph, I add an issue with mandatory question (group by group and question by question) |

Since timer can be "move" or "disable", i really don't see any reason to disallow move in Group by Group :). If you want move for GbyG and we disable it : we remove an existing feature Even if this feature are not perfect : it exist (and in fact : i already use it with 2 question group for example) |
