Summary14259: Timer behaviour - group-by-group mode
Description

From the manual: https://manual.limesurvey.org/index.php?title=QS:Time_limit_action:

"Note regarding group-by-group mode: When in group-by-group mode, the "move on" actions of the timer are replaced with a "disable" action. In this way the timer does not affect other questions on the page."

This is no longer applicable in LS 3. I am not sure whether it is a bug or just a deprecated option.
Now you can apply a "timer" to groups by adding a timer to a hidden question and set time limit action to move on to the next page (for this "workaround" to work, the group-by-group mode must be activated).

I think the manual is out of date.

In fact : it's a great solution to have a timer for group by group mode.

I remove the paragraph,

I add an issue with mandatory question (group by group and question by question)

No problem :)
Updated your ideas because I had issues (last weekend) explaining to a friend (beginner) how to use the time limit functionality. Hope now it is clear for everyone.

Since timer can be "move" or "disable", i really don't see any reason to disallow move in Group by Group :).

If you want move for GbyG and we disable it : we remove an existing feature

Even if this feature are not perfect : it exist (and in fact : i already use it with 2 question group for example)
