Summary14230: Fatal JavaScript errors in IE11
Description

In IE11, with JS-Debug mode [Frontend] disabled there is a fatal JS error. See screenshot_1 below.

With JS-Debug mode [Frontend] enabled the errors are not fatal but still exist. See screenshot_2 below.

I tested on my server with version 3.15.2 and on the demo site with 3.15.1.

Steps To Reproduce

Load and activate the attached survey.

Run the survey with JS-Debug mode [Frontend] disabled and then with it enabled.

In both cases, you should get an alert when the first survey page loads.

IE11 is currently not supported in LS3. Nobody of the heavy users is using IE11. So bugs are seldom discovered.
I checked an older version of LS: 3.14.10+180924
This issue here was introduced later than 3.14.10+180924.
But I see issues in EndURL redirection with IE11 in 3.14.10+180924. Will have to investigate if that is working in the newest version of LS.

What version of LS is ready for production? Regression is so high, it feels slightly out of control.

IE11 is supported for the front end (or, it should be as it's still alive at Microsoft).

@tpartner: I was not quoting the requirements of LS. I was pointing at the fact, the IE11 seems to be least tested browser with LS.
I'm quite aware of the difference between IE11 support for front- and backend. Even cutting the backend is problematic for selling into enterprise/university. Cutting the frontend, would be the death for the survey system.

There are no discussion about not supporting IE11 for front-end ? I don't remember such discussion.

I hear for admin part (and i'm OK with @jelo : think we must support …)

Why is the Ajax-Mode activated by default? If something is not working, deactivate AJAX-Mode is the second common answer. The most common is update to the latest version ;-)
