Summary13489: Upgrading from LS Version 3.5.1 to LimeSurvey Version 3.5.3 throws 'An internal error occured during the upgrade'.
Description

Hello ,
I upgraded Lime survey from Version 3.5.1+180312 to Version 3.5.3+180316 using the steps here:
https://manual.limesurvey.org/Upgrading_from_a_previous_version . However after upgrade ,Logging in to the admin panel,shows the following message ,An internal error occured during the database upgrade. Please go back to the main menu. Contact support if the error persists.

Steps To Reproduce

1)Upgrade LS LS Version 3.5.1 to LimeSurvey Version 3.5.3
2)Visit admin panel and it throws 'An internal error occured during the database upgrade' while visiting
http:://{{url-to-LS}}/admin/update/db.

What happens if you click the "main menu" link?

Yes. But Ideally it should not show the above error and should simply redirect to admin panel.
What is causing this error ?

It means something went wrong before and the database entered a corrupted state, but that the updater was able to handle it anyway.
