Summary12070: Export problems
Description

I have some problems with data export from latest verions of lime Surwey.

  1. Export of answers to Excel format (page /index.php/admin/export/sa/exportresults/surveyid/....) failed. (Message: Internal Server Error ZipArchive not found An internal error occurred while the Web server was processing your request. Please contact the webmaster to report this problem. Thank you.)

The same surweys worked in thre past.

  1. Export to .csv format includes CR characters from answers. It is very uncomfortable to import it into excel - it mus be cleaned by hand. Is it possible to add switch for remove CR/LF from strings during export task?

  2. Colon (,) character in .csv file is not full usable in czech languague. Czech Excel use semicolon (;) character as standard. I mus every export file rename to .txt and then set right delimiter in Excel import page (Excel normally imports .csv automatically - one row as one cell). Is it possible to add some switch for selecting of delimiter?

CSV standard is , . Czech or not.
Better solution:

  • Open the CSV with LibreOffice Calc
  • If you really need : save it in excel.

About zip : maybe you have a lack of zip package in your php installation : can you send the phpinfo ?

Don't collect different issues in the same bug report. Also make sure by asking in the forums if your problem is really a bug.

The ZIPManager error hints that you do not have the ZIP extension installed on your server. See http://php.net/manual/de/zip.installation.php

We do not check for standard libraries.
To not have the ZIP library available it must be disabled during compliation. I don't see a point checking for that as other functions might be affected too.

For exmaple we also don't check for the PHP session library - it can be also disabled, you know ;).

Thanks for help. The problem was between my chair and my keyboard. I asked my server administrator, he started .zip module and everything work well now.

Other problem ("," versus ";" in .csv file) is not serious. I know, that semicolon is not standard, but Microsoft in my languague region has another idea and use it automatically as only option.

CR/LF inside strings in .csv file still mistake, i thing.
