Lots of us Mac Book pro user out there, so having a 1280x1024 minimum screen size for us is a little problematic.

What is problematic?
Since MacBook Pro is available since 2006 with 15 generations which models are problematic? The older ones with "1440 × 900", right?

Actually Im using a Late 2015 13” Mac Pro. So real resolution is 2560x1800 but on a 13” panel this would make fonts so small at 96dpi it would be unusable. So Apple in their infinite wisdom adjusts this so the effective resolution is 1280x800 at 226dpi.

Hence every time I open up LS on my laptop Im warned that the system works best at 1280 x 1024.

Hope that helps. As I said its merely a tweak.

marcgold, we actually only check for the width, not the height, so it must be less than 1280 in width? Maybe it is the browser window frame that is eating away, so we have to set the requirement a little lower.
Can you try to set your browser to full-screen (no border) and see if you still get the warning?
