Summary11229: 2.06+ default template does not load in 2.5
Description

When uploading the old default template in "Version 2.50+ Build 160517" I get an error that reads "Template default-2 does not exist."

Worth noting is all my template files are still there.

Steps To Reproduce
  • Download the attached template or open a 2.06+ version of LimeSurvey and export the default template.
  • open the latest version of LimeSurvey 2.5 and import the template that was downloaded
  • After it imports you should be able to click on the button to open the template. You should then receive an error message on the top and your template will not be an option.
Additional Information

One user reports that coping the minimal-config.xml and putting it in the template allows it to run.

First off - im not a LS developer...

But as far as I understand LS 2.5 compared to 2.06 is mostly about the UI. Both Admin & survey template UI's are vastly changed. I am assuming that the templates are incompatible backwards. Anyway looking at moving to responsive themes - I have taken my customized templates from scratch - forgetting about the 2.06 templates.

I would say its not a bug. I personally treat 2.5 templates totally separated from 2.06.

Well, we do not directly support 2.0x templates, so use them at your own risk - however it was a bug that they did not show in the template editor.

t6nnp6nn: I already have a custom template and we don't gain anything on this project by having a responsive design. I know bootstrap so its a matter of not wasting time on something I don't need.
