Summary10548: Error style Ubuntu Orange template in Firefox
Description

I'm using Ubuntu template Orange on a survey and I think there is a problem with the styles in Firefox.

I see correctly the styles in Chrome, but Firefox does not load it properly (see image)

The "LimeSurvey Team" confirms that Firefox also doesn't show the images for the checkboxes and radio buttons.

Well, I used the bootswatch's "Paper material-design template" definition of checkboxes and radio list :
https://bootswatch.com/

It's based on a very elegant way of doing, using CSS3 and pseudo-elements.
But, Firefox developers refuse to implement pseudo-elements for form styling, and explained in detail why :
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Guide/HTML/Forms/Advanced_styling_for_HTML_forms

So, in a close future, I will use the libraries they recommend

Also : for now, the templates are more about integrating the bootstrap engine. A big effort on design still has to be done.

Then : why close it ? It's open, no ?

For me : closed is

  • fixed
  • won't fix
  • not reproductible
  • ...

But no "do it after" : this is still open.

For js : it's just because i don't know if TFR need js for this or not.

Close :

  1. it's not a bug, it's the wanted behavior for now
  2. To clean the bug tracker (easier to organize the job)
  3. As I said, I will change this behavior in a close future (and I spoke about it with you in the chat)
