Summary06043: Errors Creating Surveys in 1.92 with Sql Server 2008 R2 Backend
Description

Hi,

I have multiple instances of LimeSurvey running on our server (WS 2008 R2) and using Sql Server 2008 R2 for the database. I wanted to try installing the 1.92. After installing and getting to the main screen, whenever i try to create a survey or import a survey, I get this message

"[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The text data type cannot be selected as DISTINCT because it is not comparable.:select distinct a.qid, a.attribute, a.value from [su_question_attributes] as a, [su_questions] as b where a.qid=b.qid order by a.qid, a.attribute"

So, I thought I would try to install 1.91 first and then upgrade to 1.92. So, I installed 1.91 and no issues, i.e., could create surveys no problem. However, when I upgraded to 1.92, I got the same message after it asked if it could update the database:

The LimeSurvey database is being upgraded (2012-04-23 22:14:23) .Please be patient...

The user has full rights over the database. There seems some issue with 1.92 and the SQL database but I'm not sure what it is.

Hi. I uninstalled the database, pasted over the new LimeExpressionManager file that you updated. I then set up the database again using the LimeSurvey install files and still get the same errors:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]The text data type cannot be selected as DISTINCT because it is not comparable.:select distinct a.qid, a.attribute, a.value from [su_question_attributes] as a, [su_questions] as b where a.qid=b.qid and b.sid=11162 and a.language='en' and b.language='en' order by a.qid, a.attribute
