When a user tries to enter an invalid response to a question with validation settings defined, the error message that appears on the survey page restates the validation equation rather than an admin-defined error message in plain language that the user can understand.

For example, I have a question that is set to validate for e-mail address format. While testing the survey, I found that if I entered an invalid response the error displayed on the survey page was:
"Each answer must conform to this regular expression: /^(\w[-.+\w]*\w@\w[-.\w]*\w\.\w{ 2,3 })$/"

I entered a plain-English error message in the Question Validation Tip, but it does not display. (Perhaps that field is used for something else?)

If the option does not currently exist for the survey designer to include a plain-language error message, please add it.
