Product Version1.91+
Summary05320: No multilanguage support for label "other"
Description

Hi,

I'm unsure if this is a bug report or a feature request, but since I think version 1.91+ is considered to have builtin multilanguage support, a problem in that area could be considered as a bug.

I'm using version 1.91 build 10202 setting up a survey in Dutch and French. In some of my survey questions (eg radio-buttons), I enabled the option "Other" and wanted to change the other-label to something meaningful in those languages.

However, changing the label "other" into something meaningful in Dutch also changed it to the same (Dutch) value in French and vice versa, so I guess there is only one "field" to contain the "other" label while there should be as many as there are languages selected in the survey.

There might be workarounds tweaking into locale files but I think including multilanguage support for the "other" label should be something builtin in the administrator interface.

Steps To Reproduce
  • Create multilanguage survey
  • Add question
  • Enable "other"
  • Change "other" label
  • Check that changed label is the same in every language, while it should be possible to have different "other" labels for every language in the survey.

Yes, the issue is known. It is a problematic inconvenience but not a bug and results from the fact that advanced question settings cannot be multilingual.
There is currently no way, but to use a second question for that.
