Summary04464: unable to change, copy or edit templates
Description

Hi,
I installed limesurvey on my webserver. Everything is working great, except for the templates.php in admin console.

When I try to open that page it says that there are some trouble in directory permissions. I tried to move permissions to 777 to /templates, /uploads and /tmp, but I had no results.

When I try to copy one of the default templates, it display an error at line 1174 of admin/templates.php, always about permissions.

If I try 1.87 version, I can edit or copy any template, without warnings or errors.

log in to admin console --> templates --> copy template

I updated to 1.90RC2 (build 8906). I'm still experiencing the problem.

In the meantime I updated php to php5.3.2.0. Nope.

I can't reproduce the problem.

Can you please quote the error message?

Also try to re-upload all files in binary mode, maybe a file was broken when transfering it to the server (though I don't think so).

I didn't upload it through ftp.

Usually I connect to the server through SSH. I downloaded the .zip file through wget and unzipped it. Then I changed the right permissions to the directories templates, tmp, uploads.

The strange thing is that if I use Limesurvey 1.87 on the same server, it works.

I found the matter.
I had to give -R 777 permissions to /upload/templates

Please, close the bugfix (sorry, my fault) and, please, correct the error warning adding a reference to check permissions on /upload/templates directory
