Summary04166: Users receive SQL error message when completeing survey, "Error converting data type varchar to real."
Description

Two separate survey users received "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Error converting data type varchar to real." error when trying to submit survey.

Steps To Reproduce

I cannot reproduce this event. I've tried to take the survey multiple times with junk data and it works for me every time.

Additional Information

This is for an academic research project where the faculty are very angry with IT that they are having issues. I have no idea where to start since I can't reproduce. If we can donate some money to the project to expedite any possible resolution we would like to do that.

in both examples, i see the error. 1) [62999X5X1098] = '85.0.' and 2) [62999X8X843] = '15.5046.50'

Not knowing what the survey looks like, it is hard to say where the issue is.

I've uploaded the survey stucture.
Now when I enter a non-valid real number I do get this error; so this seems to be a user error not a bug in limesurvey (unless there is supposed to be input srub/verification)

Attached a fixed file. Just replace the existing file in your installation.
This fix prevents that you can enter more than one point in your floating point number.

I noticed a few other things in your installation. Most notably that your table 'lime_surveys' contains an invalid field 'lastpage'.
After updating to the latest build tomorrow you should remove it.
