Summary03519: Inscriptions of Graphs are not visible well. I don't do Save picture as on graph. This work on this way only on IE6
Description

I was able to see the graphs. But I can't save the graphs as Save Picture as...and inscriptions beside graphs are a bad visible.

When I looked with FTP my survey on server I noticed that I had all this pictures of graphs in tmp folder. But it is not practically if I collect the graphs of pictures from server with FTP. It is easy if I get pictures of graphs from web site.

This seems to be a browser issue. I've just tested in IE6 and 7 and am getting the same results as jcerni in IE6. It works fine in IE7 (and of course FF). I got the same results. It works fine in Firefox.

I think we're talking about two problems with the graphs in IE6.

  1. The labels don't display well - see the attached shot.

  2. When the image is right-clicked, IE6 doesn't give a "Save Image As..." option.

I think both problems are caused by pChart rendering the graphs as PNG32s which IE6 has issues with. In fact I don't think that IE6 recognizes them as images at all and therefor doesn't give the save option. (In IE6, I've also tried saving the icon images at the top of the page with the same results). I should point out that all works fine in IE7.

Is it possible to have pChart output the graphs as JPGs for those folks using IE6?

  1. is caused by pngfix.js wrapping the PNGs in a span for IE - see http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/pnginfo.htm . Could the charts be hyperlinked for easy downloading? The next best format for charts, after PNG, is probably GIF.

Fixed the corrupted font issue - The 'Save as...' issue won't be fixed.
