Summary09624: Files with two dot '.' sign in name attached to survey response can't be downloaded.
Description

Hi

Files with two extensions, for example filename.mp3.zip or even files with two dot signs, for example "Track 1. Name.ext" can't be downloaded when browsing responses.

Steps To Reproduce

Add file upload question to survey and upload a file with two dots in filename (as explained in description of this bug) and it will be impossible to download this file from survey browsing page.

Think it can be related to server security system.

Please : tail you error log and return the information provided.
Test with debug=>2 in application/config/config.php

Unfortunately doing this doesn't give any output in logs. Maybe indeed this issue is connected with server settings.

Do you have access to your apache error log ?

Surely some security in your apache configuration.

PS: I use wheezy too, strange (need to update to jessie : https://www.debian.org/releases/stable/)

That is weird because there are no logs in limesurvey logs (with debugging on), nor in apache logs, nor in php error logs.

Loglevels in apache and php are configured properly because errors and warning from other applications are visible there.

I need to update to jessie as well :)
I think you can close this issue.

If you find what in your apache/php version disallow double dot. Reopen this issue :)
