Summary17602: Errors while installing 5.1 with MySQL 8 and InnoDB
Description

when installing version 5 with MySQL 8, the control program reports a blocking error: it asks for the parameters innodb_file_format and innodb_file_format_max to be filled in whereas these variables no longer exist in MySQL 8

I cannot reproduce this error. Maybe you can enter a value for the "innodb_file_format" to "Antelope". I agree we need to update the DB files.

@aim-sys I could not reproduce it on MySQL8, still I found some anomalies in the code.
Please check my patch and let me know if that fixes the issue for you.

We could only reproduce the issue when entering wrong credentials (happened by accident).
Then we realize that when that happens, the code understood the version was lower than 8, and hence did the checkings, which also failed.
