This first question is not intended to measure whether the intervention turned out as planned, but the degree to which the design of the intervention allowed the course of events to be determined in advance. For example road building is fairly predictable, whereas facilitating networking may be harder to set milestones for.

Topic
This questionnaire explores how the conflict or post-conflict context shapes the possibilities for peacebuilding action and impact, particularly the interplay of power and sustainability.

Practicalities
The questionnaire is split into four sections of around six questions each, most of which can be answered with a few clicks from multiple choice answers. This is to make it fast to fill in, however the analysis will be primarily qualitative, so please do make use of the comments boxes to add any information you think important, and broaden the framework of analysis.

Please pick a peacebuilding programme you've experienced in some way, then cycle through the questions. Some questions concern the responses of the target or client community, so if a programme covered several, and interventions or impact varied between them, please fill in the questionnaire once per client group/locality. If you've experienced more than one programme I'd appreciate it hugely if you'd cycle through again. Subsequent cycles take only 15 minutes to complete, although allow up to 25 for the first time round.

At the bottom of each page is a 'Resume later' button which stores your responses so far, so you can interrupt the process and complete another time.

If you have any comments or queries at any stage I'm keen to hear them, so please call me on +44 7919 813 107 or email me at any time. I'm happy to call you back if cost is an issue.

Confidentiality
The raw data will be immediately anonymized. Larger organizations may be recognizable in it from their characteristics, but this detail will only be seen by a few academic staff in my course submission. No person, organization, locality or intervention will be identifiable in the results presented publically, for example to respondents, and all names will be changed.

Results
I will share findings with respondents mid-October. Please complete the questionnaire by Friday 3rd September.

Thank you for your cooperation.
