Summary | 09243: Add PHP-XML dependency info
Description | You may want to note in the installation page that LimeSurvey depends on PHP's XML library. When importing a survey, the Yii library tries to load the file DOMDocument.php (available in the php-xml RHEL rpm package) to validate the LSS file. In RHEL version 6.5 this package is not installed by default with PHP. Thanks!

With all due respect - but that is bad packaging from RHEL. I am sorry but we do not hint for packages that are usually installed by default with PHP, see http://php.net/manual/en/xmlreader.installation.php Otherwise we would also need to ask people not to forget the 'session' package, too (which really makes no sense) Anway, most other distros seems to install it just fine. |
