I don't understand. During installation the PHP version is checked. |

When I installed V2.00 for the first time, I had this error message "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homez.xxx/familles/www/limesurvey/index.php on line 178." and I didn't understand why. So I transfered V1.92+ on the same servor and I had an error message " Your PHP version is outdated". Thus I understood why V2.00 didn't work and I modified .htaccess file. I think it will good to have the message "Your PHP version is outdated" with V2.00 than "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homez.xxx/familles/www/limesurvey/index.php on line 178". It's more understandable. |

Ah, I understand now. Unfortunately We rely on a third party framework which in turn relied on certain features PHP4 is missing - even for the first file that is loaded at all. So there is no way to code a message like the one you are suggesting, sorry. |
