Not sure how often the demo site is purged, but I tried it there as well, and it's not working, here are the results:

Hello tacman1123,
About this problem, we can fix this in many ways. I need to know some info. How are you trying to import. The approach i took is why not convert the .csv , .lss file to xml

I went to my site (also running 1.92+), exported the survey as a .lss file, and exported the results using the Export VV File command, as a .csv file.

Then I imported the survey on the demo site, then imported the .csv file (using Import VV File). Only the basic info came in, not the actual answers.

Perhaps it's an issue with line breaks?

How does one import and export survey responses in XML?

If the survey is designed to take XML, it will import XML file. I don't think the .csv file is empty . I have seen it. It shall get imported. Anyways, I will post you about this again. Let me take a closer look.

I don't follow what you're saying about designing a survey to take XML.

The CSV (that is, VV file) isn't empty, but the answers aren't being imported. It's a tab-delimitted file, with all the responses, generated by Export VV. There are no delimiter option.

Thank you for looking at this, it's a fairly important issue, I'm sure lots of people want to know that if they back up their survey responses that they'll be able to recover them or move them to a new server.

This is actually the intended behaviour. To have the VV-data import the SGQA must exactly match for each field. If it does not, it does not get imported.
