| Description | I updated the PHP version of my site from 5.2.17 to 5.3.8 and in the "Overview & Update" I am receiving an error message: "There was an error on update check ( could not connect to the host "update.limesurvey.org"). See screenshot attached. If I go back to PHP version 5.2.17 there is no problem. | ||||

Please attach the servers error log which you posted at the forum. |

In order to see the relation between the error log and the Update error I changed the PHP version: I have the error in the "Overviwe & Update" page but the error log don't change. |

The problem have been solved by my hosting provider: they unlocked the "fsockopen" function (Chinese to me). |
