Sam, can you do some further testing:

1. Switch to a different survey mode (there are three of them)

2. temporary delete the question holding the JS

3. Delete all question step by step to find out if the problem is caused by a certain question (type).

Thanks!

How do I move to different survey modes?

Thanks.

Ok so when I remove some questions it works. I'll look into what questions it is that cause the error exactly.

Could it be a memory issue?

It might only be questions that use LabelSets? I'll investigate further. Did you manage to get the survey working on your system at all?

I don't think it's a memory problem, the erorr message would look different.

Try to track the error down to a certain question, this will help most.
A survey with just that one question would be perfect to solve the problem.

I've been away for a few days. I will work on this today.

Do you have the Suhosin module installed on your webserver?
Check your phpinfo.
If yes then this error should disappear if you remove questions (no matter which ones) and re-appear if you add questions.

I don't have Suhosin installed on the webserver.

I've tried lots of combinations of questions and it appears that the only questions that work in this survey are short text questsions. Everything else causes the survey to crash.

I noticed that sometimes it will work correctly when the survey isn't activated and then fail to work when it is activated but this appears to be random.

I will try and create a new survey and see what happens.

Well, We can't reproduce this on the latest version and we don't provide fixes for 1.86 anymore. I suggest you update your installation and try again.

Yes I will do this today.

Will the existing survey work on 1.87 or do you suggest re creating it from scratch?

Should be working fine. Only try recreating if the issue still exists.

Created it and it is still having errors.

I created it on a test web server and it runs fine... think it might be because the webserver is so old and could do with apache \ php being updated?

It is most likely a server mixconfiguration.
I think it will be easier to use a properly configured server than to find out what is going on on yours.
